Licensing FAQ
Common questions about trials, paid licenses, renewals, named-user seat assignment, and company account management.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I try a plugin before buying?
Yes. You can start with a trial from the Autodesk App Store or from the TiMBIM website.
Where can I buy a paid license?
All paid licenses are purchased through the TiMBIM website.
How long is a paid license valid?
Paid licenses are annual and can be renewed from your TiMBIM account page.
Can a company buy multiple seats in one order?
Yes. Company plans let one account purchase multiple named-user seats and assign them from the account area.
What team sizes can we buy directly?
Current direct plans are 5 seats and 10 seats for company purchases. If you need a different starting size or a larger rollout, contact TiMBIM.
Can a named user use the license on multiple machines?
Yes. Access is intended for the named user, not for one specific machine, so that person can work on all machines where they use the supported software login.
Can seats be reassigned when team members change?
Yes. A company admin can remove a user from a seat and assign that seat to another team member when needed.
Can we add seats later?
Yes. Company admins can add more seats later when more users need access, then assign those seats from the Team Management area.
Who manages billing and renewals?
The purchasing company account manages billing and renewals, while user access is handled through named-user seat assignments.
Do assigned users need separate purchases?
No. The company buys the required number of seats in one order and assigns them from the account area.
