TagSuite Privacy Policy

Product Data Handling Overview

This page explains how TagSuite handles model information and local settings as part of its normal Revit workflow.

Privacy Principles

Local workflow

Tagging and rule processing operate inside Revit and local settings files.

User control

Users choose when to save, import, append, or remove TagSuite rules files.

Scope

This page describes the behavior of the TagSuite Revit add-in. Website analytics, ecommerce checkout systems, contact forms, or other services used on the TiMBIM website should be documented separately in the main site privacy policy if they apply.

Information Processed By The Add-In

TagSuite works with Revit model content that is needed to evaluate and place tags. This can include information such as element categories, parameter values, active or selected views, view templates, and existing tags in the model.

  • Element and view information is used to evaluate tag rules and view filters
  • Tag family and type availability is checked against the current Revit project
  • Saved rule sets can include rule names, filter values, layout settings, and selected view template names

Licensing and Validation

If online license validation is used, TagSuite may send the information needed to confirm access to the product. This can include the licensed email address, the Autodesk user ID available in Revit, the TagSuite version, and a device identifier used to recognize the installation.

This information is used only to validate license access and manage trial, single-user, or team-based use. License access, renewals, and seat management are handled through the TiMBIM website and account workflow.

Local Storage

TagSuite stores settings locally in XML format. The default path used by the add-in is %AppData%\TiMBIM\TagSuite\TagSuiteRules.xml. Users can also choose other local file paths when using the save-as workflow.

These files are intended to help users keep and reuse tagging rules across projects. They may contain project-specific filter values or naming conventions entered by the user.

Network and Telemetry Note

TagSuite's tagging and rule-management workflows are implemented as local Revit operations and local file save/load actions. In addition, website-managed licensing may perform online license validation when needed. No telemetry or cloud-sync feature is part of the TagSuite workflows described on this page.

User Control

  • Users can save rules locally.
  • Users can create separate saved rule files for different teams or projects.
  • Users can import or append saved XML rule sets when needed.
  • Users can remove local files using their normal file-management process.
